Nine out of ten enterprises used the Internet According to the survey results, 93.7% of enterprises with at least 10 persons employed used the Internet in 2016. This ratio was 92.5% in 2015. By considering the size group, proportion of the internet access was 99.5% for enterprises with 250 or more employees, while 96.9% for enterprises with 50-249 employees and 92.8% enterprises with 10-49 employees in 2016. Proportion of the enterprises that used computer was 95.9% in 2016 while it was 95.2% in 2015. 66% of enterprises have their own website In 2016, 66% of enterprises had website while this ratio was 65.5% in 2015. While the highest website owning ratio was in enterprises with 250 or more employees with 89.1%, this ratio was 79.0% and 62.4% in enterprises with 50-249 and with 10-49 persons employed respectively. Broadband connection to access the Internet was 91.6% In 2016, 91.6% of enterprises used broadband connection to access the Internet. According to the maximum contracted download speed, 35.3% of enterprises used Internet broadband connection with below 10 Mbit/s, 47.5% of enterprises used with 10-99 Mbit/s and 17.2% of enterprises used with at least 100 Mbit/s. 11.9% of enterprises received orders via computer networks
11.9% of enterprises received orders for products or services via web sites, “apps” or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) in 2015. This percentage was 21.1% in enterprises with 250 or more employees, while 12.6% in enterprises with 50-249 employees, 11.4% in enterprises with 10-49 persons employed.
38.1% of enterprises used social media
According to the survey results, 38.1% of enterprises with at least 10 persons employed used social media in 2016. This rate was 38.8% in 2015. Social networks were the most common type of social media used by enterprises by 94.9%.
86.2% of enterprises used the Internet for interaction with public authorities
The proportion of enterprises that used the Internet for interaction with public authorities was 86.2% in 2015. Purposes for using Internet for interaction with public authorities were as follows: to get information with 87.8%, to obtain forms from public authorities' websites or home pages with 80.4%, to submit completed forms electronically with 78.6%, to declare VAT completely electronically 66.8% and to declare social contributions completely electronically with 68.7% during 2015.
