Economic confidence index realized as 80.6 Economic confidence index is a composite index that encapsulates consumers’ and producers’ evaluations, expectations and tendencies about general economic situation. The index is combined by means of a weighted aggregation of normalized sub-indices of consumer confidence, seasonally adjusted real sector (manufacturing industry), services, retail trade and construction confidence indices. Sub-indices are calculated by using data collected in the first two weeks of each month. Economic confidence index decreased by 8.3% compared to previous month decreasing from 87.81 to 80.56 in October. This decrease in economic confidence index stemmed from the decreases in real sector, services, retail trade, construction and consumer confidence indices. Real sector confidence index decreased to 103.8, services confidence index decreased to 94.49, retail trade confidence index decreased to 96.22, construction confidence index decreased to 81.32 and consumer confidence index decreased to 74.04 in October.
