Cloud computing services in Turkey

According to the results of Survey on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Usage in Enterprises, 10.8% of the enterprises having 10 or more employees used cloud computing services in 2021. When the proportion of the enterprises used cloud computing services was analysed by size groups; it was seen that the proportion of the using cloud computing services was 41.0% for enterprises having 250 or more employees, it was followed by 19.5% for enterprises with 50-249 employees and 8.5% for enterprises with 10-49 employees.

Proportion of enterprises using robot technology was 4.8%

4.8% of enterprises having 10 or more employees reported that they used industrial robots or service robots in 2021. When the proportion of robot technology usage was examined by size groups; it was observed that 3.7% of enterprises with 10-49 employees, 8.5% of enterprises with 50-249 employees and 23.7% of enterprises with 250 or more employees used robotics.

The proportion of enterprises using the Internet of things was 21.1%

21.1% of enterprises stated that they used interconnected devices or systems that can be monitored or remotely controlled via the Internet in 2021. When the purposes of Internet of things usage were examined; it was observed that Internet of things was used for the premises' security with the highest proportion of 82.1%. This was followed by energy consumption management with 36.2% and logistics management with 32.9%.

2.7% of enterprises stated that they use artificial intelligence

The proportion of enterprises stated that they used any of the artificial intelligence technologies was 2.7% in 2021. It was observed that the enterprises using artificial intelligence used the technologies identifying objects or persons based on images with the highest proportion of 45.2%. This was followed by machine learning for data analysis with 43.9% and technologies automating different workflows or assisting in decision making with 39.6%.
