The number of remote meetings in Turkey

According to the results of Survey on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Usage in Enterprises, During 2020, via computer or mobile phone; it was reported that 30.5% of enterprises increased the percentage of persons employed having remote access to the e-mail system of enterprise, 25.3% of enterprises increased the number of remote meetings conducted by enterprise and 24.3% of enterprises increased the percentage of persons employed having remote access to the ICT systems of enterprise other than e-mail.

89.0% of enterprises that increased the percentage of persons employed having remote access to the e-mail system of the enterprise, 93.1% of enterprises that increased the number of remote meetings conducted by enterprise, and 90.2% of enterprises that increased the percentage of persons employed having remote access to the ICT systems of enterprise other than e-mail stated that the reason for these increases were fully or partially due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
14.0% of enterprises started e-sales or increased their e-sales effort due to the COVID-19 outbreak
The proportion of enterprises that declared that they started to e-sales of goods or services or increased their e-sales efforts through the website or mobile applications or EDI in 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak was 14.0%. When this proportion was analyzed by size groups; it was seen that 13.6% of enterprises with 10-49 employees, 15.2% of enterprises with 50-249 employees, and 20.5% of enterprises with 250 or more employees started e-sales or increased their e-sales efforts due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
